The commodity trade is the core competence of the PMB energy GmbH. When the company was founded, it was clear that we will become a trade platform for energy sources, whereas CO2-neutral energy substrates are of special interest.
The company’s trading network reaches from certified wood plantings in Latin America into the depths of the Siberian Taiga. Through this structured network, it is possible for us to offer you a broad band of energy carriers.

Our forestry team is equipped with superb knowledge and contacts concerning the acquisition and interposition of forestry products. We can provide you with trunk-, pulp- and energy wood and a variety of tree breeds and qualities. Feel free to contact us for your request.

If you are interested in offering your commodity to us, we are open for any quote. On an annual basis we are in need of several hundred thousand tons of wood in order to utilize it energetically. Hereby the pulp- and energy wood is of special interest. Since every wood variety has its own calorific value, the PMB energy GmbH has to check its overall contingent in order to make decisions concerning the purchase of single charges. If you make an offer please include the tree specie, thickness/category, water content and origin of your material. We buy charges beginning with 100 t or 130 solid cubic meters, whereas an independent assessor will check water content, quality etc..

However wood is not our only interest in trading commodities. We have storage capacities and interior logistic concepts for fluid energy carriers, e.g. palm oil, ethanol etc., in several major European ports. A new branch of our company is the trade with carbon credits according to the Kyoto-Protocol from 11.12.1997, in order to reduce the global discharge of greenhouse gases. This scheme has already been implemented within the EU and the next trading period in Germany called „Nationaler Allokations Plan II (NAP II)” will be active from 2008 until 2012 and will have more reduction and new target groups as a goal.

In cooperation with our partner enterprise – BLOCK Kompostierung GmbH – the PMB energy GmbH is able to keep a disposal network for organic waste running, to which strategically situated cities, communes and clients from the private sector are attached.

Through this bundled expertise on the disposal sector on the one side as well as on the energy sector on the other, we have initiated a circular flow recycling management, in which the organic waste is either turned into green energy or brought back to the soil.
